Gemstone Collecting

Personally, I have become fascinated with gemstones (precious and semi-precious stones). I am amazed at the array of colors and properties of these little treasures found in the earth. God created something truly amazing for us to look at and to adorn ourselves. Many of these tiny treasures are a fantastic investment. Purchasing a rare and beautiful gemstone that will significantly appreciate is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy and benefit. Making a return or to pass down through the generations, gemstone collecting can be a rewarding and profitable hobby.

I've been passionate about gemstones and collecting gemstones for quite some time now. My fascination started a couple of years ago and I've become an avid collector ever since. I am exhilarated when I make a new find of beauty or value. Of all of the things I've collected in my life, this has been the most rewarding. I'm also making investments that will continue to increase in value for myself and my heir's.

I've gathered quite a lot of information about gemstones and thought it would be wonderful to put all of this information into one source for new collectors so they wouldn't have to do all of the searching and gleaning I've had to do to become a more knowledgeable gem enthusiast.

I've created an E-book for new gemstone collectors. You will find information on the most popular gemstones, tidbits about each, colors and properties, the rarity and cost of certain gemstones, various charts and guides, birthstone & anniversary choices, investment recommendations, etc. All of this information will be at your fingertips for your education and enjoyment. You can even download the first chapter to see just a small portion of the information you will receive when purchasing the E-book.

Not only is gemstone collecting a hobby, but also an investment, because whenever you purchase a gemstone or piece of jewelry with precious gems and metals you are making an investment. An investment that will only appreciate!

Woodworking: Basic Safety Tips Woodworking can be a dangerous undertaking if you are not careful and choose to disregard safety guidelines. A circular saw, router, or other piece of power equipment can disfigure and even kill if not used properly. Even hand tools, which must be extremely sharp to provide best results, can cause serious injuries. In addition, the sawdust and fumes from wood can be harmful to the lungs if inhaled on a regular basis, especially if the wood was harvested from an orchard or tree farm where pesticides were used to control insects.

Imagine your are five years old. As your family arrives at the train station, your hand slips free of your Mom's and you dash over to the tracks. Looking left, then right, your eager eyes scan the horizon, searching for your train.

Woodworking: Tools Of The Trade, Part 6 - Finishing Equipment A civilization's maturity and intelligence is judged, in part, by the diversity and sophistication of its tools. When it comes to woodworking, the human race is quite advanced. There are general tools that work well in many situations, and there are specialty tools made for one specific purpose. There are tools that require only manpower and a rudimentary knowledge, and others that utilize computer programs, a wide range of knowledge, and a powerful motor. We have even learned how to harness power for our tools and package it in a small battery component, giving us the freedom to take our tools wherever we need them.
